All LEV Tec Solution engineering team are qualified BOHS P601 – Thorough Examination & Testing of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) Systems.

All LEV testing is carried out in accordance with COSHH 2002 Regulations and HSG 258.

The Thorough Test & Examination (TExT) involves a full visual inspection of the LEV system which includes the fan unit, ducting, extraction hoods, filter units as well as system discharge, this testing will identify any potential defects.

Quantitive measurements will be taken

Discharge stack velocity

Duct velocities and static pressures

Hood face velocities and static pressures

Fan static pressure

Filter unit static pressure

Use of a Tyndall beam lamp / dust lamp and smoke tests determine if the system is capable to adequately control and remove dust preventing harm to workers.

The TExT report will show if the system meets and controls harm with either a satisfactory result or unsatisfactory result.

LEV Tec Solutions will report all actions needed for compliance and can carry out all work necessary to obtain a satisfactory TExT result.
